The principles we use when reporting and publishing.
Accuracy
We aim to publish accurate information and distinguish clearly between fact, allegation, inference and opinion.
Sources
We prefer primary documents, on-the-record interviews and direct evidence. Where appropriate, we link to the source material so readers can examine it themselves.
Fairness and right of reply
Where reporting contains significant criticism of an identifiable person or organisation, we will normally offer a reasonable opportunity to respond before publication.
News and opinion
Comment and opinion will be clearly labelled and kept distinct from straight news reporting.
Corrections
Material factual errors will be corrected promptly and transparently. Significant corrections will be noted on the relevant article.
Privacy
We consider privacy, public interest and potential harm before publishing personal information.
Use of AI
AI tools may assist with research, transcription, editing or production, but editorial responsibility remains with Full Context. We will not knowingly publish fabricated quotations, sources or evidence.
